Rock your Socks tomorrow! Every year on March 21, people around the world come together to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day by wearing brightly colored, mismatched socks. March 21 is symbolic because people with Down Syndrome have 3 copies of their 21st chromosome. We wear our crazy socks in honor of Finley Varner who is a sweet, hardworking, friendly 7 year old with a little bit of spice! She is the sister of 5th grader, Graham. Interesting Fact: "I grew up in Minnesota and went to college in Iowa. I have lived in California, Mississippi, Ohio, and in Michigan. I have been on mission trips to Cambodia, Slovakia, New York, and Kentucky. I am so grateful.to God for all my blessings. Zion Lutheran School's children and their families are so dear to me."
What the kids are saying: They enjoy Mrs. Woods' class because she takes the time to plan events and field trips for them, and she is very sweet.
