Our classroom is a setting where children hear the good news of Jesus their Savior.  They will learn of their need for forgiveness and the most wonderful news that God the Father has provided His one and only Son who lived perfectly in their place, died for each one of them, and rose again, so that they are given the gift of eternal life in heaven.

In 2nd grade, students will have two teachers during the day.  Mrs. Schnell teaches religion, social studies, and science when combined with the 1st graders.  For math and language arts; the 2nd graders will split off and go to Mrs. Panzner’s room for those subjects.

Plenty of class time is given during the day to finish classwork. Unfinished work though, is expected to be completed at home and returned the next day. Students have a nightly reading assignment (booklet, word cards, etc.) every night. Memory recitations are due three times a week

My name is Samantha Schnell, I teach 3rd and 4th grade at Zion.  I graduated from Saginaw Valley State University in 2012 with an Elementary Education degree and an endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education.

My name is Kayla Panzner. I am so excited to be a part of the Zion team! Throughout my life God has been teaching me to trust Him in His perfect timing and plans for me. This has brought me to Zion where I am blessed with the opportunity to be a part time 2nd and 4th grade Reading and Math Teacher.
