Zion’s Lutheran World Relief Quilting and Layette Group

Zion’s quilters meet in the church basement on Wednesdays from early October through May.  We do not meet if there is a funeral at church or if school is called off due to weather.  We begin at 9:00 a.m. with Bible Study until about 10:00 a.m., then we quilt until noon, eat our sack lunches while we visit, and continue quilting until 2:00 p.m.  We can use help for any amount of time.  If you have an hour to spare and would like to try quilting, we would be very happy to have you join us.  No sewing experience is needed.  The more workers we have, the more quilts and layettes we can put together to help the unfortunate in our world. Our quilts and layettes are shipped to Baltimore in October each year for distribution to those in need around the world.  We have made as many as 500 quilts and as many as 235 layettes in one year.
