KINDERGARTEN
TEACHER

Angela
Riske

Welcome to Zion!  My name is Angela Riske and I love teaching Kindergarten at Zion, where I attended school from Kindergarten to 8th grade as a child.  I was confirmed at Zion in 8th grade and attended Bay City Western High School, before attending Delta College and graduating from SVSU with a bachelor’s degree in education.

I taught 1st Grade in North Carolina for two years and Kindergarten for ten years at three public schools in Florida.  I returned home and succeeded my retiring Kindergarten teacher.  After completing the Colloquy Program to become a Lutheran educator in 2019, I became a called worker at Zion.  I am blessed to share my faith with my students daily and I enjoy nurturing their love for learning and for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  We have an amazing, dedicated, fun, educated, God-fearing staff at Zion and I am incredibly blessed to be a part of this phenomenal team.

I enjoy cheering on our sports teams, helping with the famous apple pie fundraiser, hearing our students sing in church, and volunteering at other events associated with Zion Lutheran Church & School.  In my free time I read, shop, and spend time with friends and family.  I am blessed to call Zion home!

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
